Fall Fiesta Celebration 2007

On Thursday, October 18, the Hispanic Student Dental Association presented its 4th annual Fall Fiesta. This year's theme was "Birthday Celebrations - Latin Style". Held in the Robert Schattner Center's Henry Schein Atrium, the evening included free food, salsa music and dancing, a raffle, musical chairs, and a harp performance by Zulma Street (D'09). The highlight of the event featured blindfolded members of the Penn Dental Medicine faculty and staff, swinging at a piñata filled with dental products and candy. "We wanted to share some of the fun traditions in Hispanic cultures with others at the School," says Stephanie Acevedo (D'11). "It's great that so many people showed their support for our association and enjoyed celebrating with us."
