Penn Dental Medicine offers a range of postgraduate study options. The following sections provide an overview of Graduate Dental Education programs:

Masters of Science in Oral Biology
This program is available to qualified students interested in an academic career; concurrent clinical specialty training is required to apply to this program.

A DMD/DDS degree is required for all Graduate Dental Education programs. Individuals who do not have a DMD/DDS (e.g. individuals holding a BDS or other degrees) need to have their credentials evaluated by an outside agency prior to their application being submitted and considered complete. In addition, applicants must be eligible to obtain temporary licensure from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, for which graduation from an accredited dental school is required. The original credentialing evaluation must be forwarded to the Pennsylvania State Board of Dentistry for approval.
