Tuition Fee: Full-time attendance at Penn Dental Medicine.

General Fee: Covers access to University libraries, graduate student activities, recreational facilities and other University services not directly associated with specific courses.

Instrument Management Service Fee: Required instrumentation and sterilization services.

Technology Fee: Established to advance and improve technology at Penn Dental Medicine.

Dental Clinical Fee: Covers a variety of expenses related to clinical practice including disposable gowns, lab coats, materials and other expenses.

Room and Board: Estimated reflects an average cost of room and board.

Books and Supplies: Estimated cost for required textbooks and supplies.

Miscellaneous: Estimated cost to include health insurance external loan fees and personal expenses.


Annual Stipend

As part of the Advanced Prosthodontic Residency program, each resident will receive an annual stipend. The full stipend amount is $26,000, plus employee benefits (medical, dental, vision, and life insurance) at a rate of 34% (additional $9,000), for a total annual compensation of $35,000.


* Additional costs directly related to attending this program may necessitate an increase in the educational budget. In order to be able to borrow additional funding for course and equipment requirements, the educational budget for 2017-2018 ($115,601) may be increased by $6,500 and should be directed to the Office of Student Financial Services, 215-898-1988.

The health insurance is based on single person coverage at the University of Pennsylvania. If you need family coverage the fee will be higher and you may need to request a budget increase.
