Endowment Opportunities
Alumni will recall influential teachers and mentors who left an indelible mark on their lives and careers. Leaders in the field whose dedication was contagious. Professionals who passed the torch along to them and many other students.
And in a broader sense, the ripple effects of our research, training and advances in patient care are felt throughout the profession in labs, practices, and academia. Our graduates are spreading their knowledge and expertise around the globe.
As a member of the Penn Dental Medicine community, your support is essential.
To recruit and retain the best faculty, we seek to raise $13.5 million in permanent endowment funding. This support will establish professorships to help augment our first-class educators, and in turn, continue to produce high-caliber graduates.
To endow financial aid for exceptional students, we seek to raise an additional $4.5 million. This will create more scholarships and help offset student debt, two key ways we are working to diversify the field of dental medicine.

Contributing to an endowment for faculty gives donors the opportunity to directly enhance scholarship in the field of dentistry. As we recognize the leaders of our profession with endowed chair appointments, they help us advance Penn Dental Medicine by attracting external grants, gifted colleagues and students who want to learn from the best. Endowments also provide a unique way for donors to honor cherished individuals and their outstanding contributions to dental medicine.
