Research Interests

Dr. Kuperstein is interested in the radiographic manifestations of vascular atheromatous disease as found in the vasculature of the head and neck, specifically calcified carotid artery atheroma. Additionally, Dr. Kuperstein is working on the identification of radiographic markers to reflect osseous necrotic changes of the maxillofacial region induced by the bisphosphonate family of drugs and also those changes discovered as manifestations of osteoporosis and other metabolic diseases.
