Rochelle G. Lindemeyer, DMD
Dr. Lindemeyer is Director of the Pediatric Dentistry Graduate Program and the Pediatric Dentistry Externship and Honors Program, and Assistant Professor of Pediatric Dentistry-Clinician Educator in the Department of Preventive and Restorative Sciences. She is a Diplomate of the Board of American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Her areas of special interest include special needs patients and research involving enamel formation. She has published many articles and given presentations at local and national meetings. Currently she is serving as immediate past President of the Philadelphia County Dental Society, and a consultant to the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Howard M. Rosenberg, DDS, MSD, MEd
Dr. Rosenberg is Associate Professor of Pediatric Dentistry-Clinician Educator in the Department of Preventive and Restorative
Sciences and Director of the Pediatric Clinic. His research interests include the guidance of child behaviors in the dental situation and attitudes toward female dental students and female dentists. His work in these areas has resulted in research publications, chapters in textbooks, and speaking invitations from regional, national, and international professional societies. Dr. Rosenberg's teaching interests include general pediatric dentistry, curriculum evaluation and development, and educational testing and measurement. He is the Director of the Pediatric Dentistry Clinic and the Course Director for the required and elective course in pediatric dentistry.
Yolanda Ann Slaughter, DDS, MPH
Dr. Slaughter is Course Director of Geriatric Dentistry. Her research is focused on reducing oral health disparities among vulnerable older adult populations. She has developed a nationally recognized health promotion program, "Take Charge of Your Oral Health" based on results from her pilot studies among African American seniors residing in West Philadelphia. The Take Charge of Your Oral Health Community Promotion Kit is a comprehensive education program that also includes a video presentation. The kit was supported by the Aetna Foundation and is unique in that it can assist non-dentally trained persons to promote oral health to older adults in their communities. Dr. Slaughter was featured as "Miss September" in the 2004 African American History Calendar, A Look at African Americans in Dentistry. Dr. Slaughter has been named a health disparities scholar by the National Center on Minority Health and Health Disparities.
In 2008 Dr. Slaughter was
among Mayor Michael A. Nutter's seven appointees to Philadelphia's Board of Health.
Rose Wadenya, BDS, MS, DMD
Dr. Wadenya is Assistant Professor of Pediatric Dentistry-Clinician Educator in the Department of Preventive and Restorative
Sciences and the School's Director of Minority Affairs. Dr. Wadenya also teaches in the Pediatric Residency Program and treats medically complex patients at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Additionally, she practices in the Penn Dental Medicine satellite offices around the Philadelphia region. Her major interests are reducing disparities in oral disease rates in the pediatric population, with an emphasis on prevention, and increasing diversity in the dental workforce through the recruitment and retention of underrepresented minority students in dentistry. She has published many articles and delivered many presentations at local and national meetings.

Robert J. Collins, DMD, MPH
Dr. Collins is
Chief of the Division of Community Oral Health
with responsibility for overall management and direction of the Division, including budget, personnel, evaluation, and planning. Dr. Collins also serves as Director of the Office of International Health.
Joan Gluch, RDH, PhD
Dr. Gluch is Director of Community Health and Associate Dean for Academic Policies. Together with the Division Chairman, Dr. Gluch is responsible for the design, implementation, and evaluation of the academically-based community service learning program at Penn Dental Medicine which includes six courses throughout the dental curriculum. Dr. Gluch provides leadership for the Minority Oral Health Outreach Initiative, which includes operation of the PennSmiles dental vehicle and oral health educational programs in the Philadelphia school system and in the West and Southwest Philadelphia communities. Additionally, Dr. Gluch is the director of the Oral Health Outreach program with HIV/AIDS clients in collaboration with the Oral Medicine department. In both of these programs, Dr. Gluch is studying the effectiveness of educational programs in relation to increasing access to care for underserved populations.
