Office of International Relations: Collaborative Projects

Past collaborative projects include:

• International Collaboration in Dental Education: Facing the Challenge of Providing Adequate Access to Oral Health Care, a workshop, held in October of 1994. A book, Forging Partnerships for International Collaboration in Oral Health Education, was published in November of 1995. Read the book's preface, foreword, and acknowledgments.

• ART (Atraumatic Restorative Treatment Training Workshops)
  were conducted in cooperation with the Ministry of Health in Mexico.

• Research and service programs in collaboration with Esperanza Health Center and AFRICOM were conducted to identify oral health needs and implement appropriate health promotion and disease prevention strategies in Philadelphia for the underserved Hispanic and African immigrant communities, respectively.
