Course Description:
|
Oral and maxillofacial pathology is commonly encountered in clinical practice, and may range from the innocuous to the life-threatening and from localized phenomena to manifestations of systemic disease. There are no age, sex, or racial barriers to the development of oral pathology. This informative, multimedia program will review the risk factors, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, and treatment of oral and maxillofacial pathologies, with a focus on mucosal, soft tissue, and intraosseous lesions. Audience-response-pad technology will be used to encourage interac tive audience participation. This course is geared toward general dentists, specialists, and hygienists.
This course will enable participants to:
- Recognize and differentiate common types of mucosal and intraosseous pathologies.
- Become familiar with newer techniques and modalities that are available for diagnosis.
