Course Description:

This course will provide a comprehensive analysis of TMJ imaging through interpretation of CT tomograms and MRI images. The rationale for occlusal appliances and their use with TMD patients will also be covered. A hands-on laboratory session will allow each participant to learn the proper delivery of a maxillary superior repositioning splint/nightguard. Participants will receive a reference manual that provides graphic examples and interpretations for different diagnoses/prognoses of TMJ disorders and how they present radiographically. This course is geared toward general dentists, specialists, and hygienists.

This course will enable participants to:

  • Interpret cone-beam CT and MRI images of the TMJ.
  • Deliver and adjust a maxillary splint/nightguard.
