The Penn Faculty Practice Dental Plan for Faculty and Staff of the University - General Information

How Does the Plan Work?
It's simple. Once you become a subscriber, all you need to do is call the office of your choice when you are ready for a check-up or have a problem and you will be scheduled with a dentist of your choice. When you arrive for your appointment, simply give your name to the receptionist - no ID Cards or claims forms are required to receive care under the Penn Faculty Practice Dental Plan.

Will I Be Treated by a Penn Dentist?
Yes. All treatment is provided by faculty and staff of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. In addition to general practice dentists, care is provided by periodontists, who specialize in the treatment of gum disease; endodontists, who specialize in treating teeth with nerve damage; and prosthodontists, who specialize in complex restorations. There are also specialists in oral surgery, orthodontics and implantology.

Where Can I Get Treatment?
You may receive care at any of the office locations of the University of Pennsylvania Dental Care Network and change offices at any time during your treatment.
