Penn Dental Medicine Student Council

The Student Council of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine is a non-discriminatory group which serves the following purposes:

  • To promote and represent the interests of all dental students at the University of Pennsylvania
  • To provide organized student input to all administrative offices.  These offices include primarily, but are not limited to, the office of the Dean of Penn Dental Medicine, the Dean of Academic Affairs, the office of student affairs, and the office of clinic management.
  • To gather, organize and disseminate information of interest to all individuals of the student body and administration.
  • To uphold student achievement, encourage leadership and enhance the quality of the experience of all students while at Penn Dental Medicine.

In addition, we are committed to the following mission:

To provide every student with the ample amount of patients, chair time, and rotations to ensure the completion of requirements on graduation day. We believe that each student should be given the opportunity to graduate on time, which means they are assigned chair time a certain percentage, assigned enough patients that require work done and schedules for enough rotations to fulfill the attainable requirements.
