Edward & Shirley Shils Clinic
First Floor: Patient Care & Administration
Through the Centennial Renaissance project, the first floor of the Evans Building is dedicated to patient care and administration. This floor includes:
- Clinic. The Edward & Shirley Shils Clinic is a new modern clinic predoctoral general restorative teaching clinic; two-thirds of the clinic space opened for operation in September 2016 and the remaining section in March 2017. The clinic is situated to facilitate a direct, convenient path for patients from the registration area by the school’s entrance in the Robert Schattner Center. The 54-chair clinic occupies the large southwest side of the first floor. The building’s original windows along Spruce Street and the west side of the Evans Building bathe the clinic with natural light.
- Administrative Suite. A new executive administration suite is situated in the southeast section of the first floor and includes art work from the Thomas W. Evans Collection. The Office of Alumni Relations & Development is also within this suite.
- Café. A new café for patients and the Penn Dental Medicine community rounds out the first floor renovations.
