Back to the NEW Basics
Get in shape with root morphology. Recap your grasp and update on advanced instrumentation with alternative instruments and fulcrums.A keen knowledge of root morphology is key to an individualized approach to periodontal instrumentation. Graphic illustrations of varying root concavities will be presented in order to determine treatment considerations for instrumenting challenging contours. A discussion of various periodontal instruments will follow including live interactive demonstrations and videos demonstrating how to achieve efficient and effective results, without over-instrumentation while reducing hand fatigue. Files, hoes, the new Hu-Friedy Centennial Scaler, Nevi, Rigid Gracey’s and Rigid Langer instruments will be utilized. Fulcrum positioning and grasp to optimize resolution will be included. Questions and answers will be at the conclusion.
