Martin Trope, BDS, DMD

Clinical Professor of Endodontics

Dr. Trope received a BDS from the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa in 1976 and worked in general practice until 1980 in Tel Aviv, Israel. Dr. Trope completed his Certificate in Endodontics in 1982 and earned a DMD degree from Penn Dental Medicine in 1983. From 1982 to 1987 he served as Director of Undergraduate Endodontics at the School. From 1989 to 1993, Dr. Trope was Chair of the Department of Endodontology at Temple University. In 1993, he was appointed J.B. Freedland Professor and Chair of Endodontics at the University of North Carolina, serving in this capacity until 2007. Dr. Trope currently maintains a part-time practice in Philadelphia.
