Alumni Lecture Series: Update on Diagnosis and Management of Oral and Oropharyngeal Cancer

The Alumni Lecture Series offers free continuing education credit for alumni along with an evening of networking. Dr. Rabie Shanti, Assistant Professorof Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery/Pharmacology and Assistant Professor of Otorhinolaryngology will be the evening’s speaker.

Course Description

The lecture will provide up-to-date guidance and education on the risk factors, diagnosis, workup and multidisciplinary care of patients with oral and oropharyngeal cancer.

Learning Objectives

• Discuss the up-to-date diagnostic and treatment protocols for patients with oral and Oropharyngeal cancer.
• Describe the role of the dental practitioner and specialist in the multidisciplinary care of these patients.
• Discuss state-of-the art reconstructive modalities, such as, virtual surgical planning in the rehabilitation of patients with head and neck caner.
