Preventive & Restorative Sciences

The Department of Preventive and Restorative Sciences is the largest academic department at Penn Dental Medicine. Chaired by Dr. Markus Blatz, its faculty are distributed within four divisions under the supervision of Associate Chair Dr. David Hershkowitz. The four divisions include: the Division of Restorative Sciences, also led by Dr. David Hershkowitz ; the Division of Pediatric Dentistry, led by Dr. Evlambia (Betty) Hajishengallis; the Division of Community Oral Health; and the Division of Prosthodontics, led by Dr. Nupur Patel.
