Penn Dental Medicine’s annual Advances in Clinical Care and Education (ACCE) Day celebrates faculty, resident and student scholarship in community service, educational initiatives, and advances in clinical care. This year’s theme is in keeping with PDM Mission; to transform global oral health and well-being through exceptional clinical care, innovation, education, and research. ACCE Day will focus on navigating opportunities for oral healthcare in the 21st Century.  Lisa E. Simon, MD, DMD, Assistant Professor of Oral Health Policy and Epidemiology and Director of the Initiative to Integrate Oral Health and Medicine at Harvard School of Dental Medicine, will deliver the keynote lecture..

ACCE Day Keynote Presentation

Lisa Simon, MD, DMD

Assistant Professor, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Assistant Professor, Harvard Medical School

Bio: Dr. Simon is a physician, dentist, and health services researcher. She practices primary care at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and in Rosebud, South Dakota with the Indian Health Service. Her NIH-funded research focuses on applying econometric methods and analysis of large datasets to key questions in oral health policy and the effect of dental access on health outcomes. She is an Assistant Professor in the Division of General Internal Medicine and Primary Care at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, where she is also the Director of the Initiative to Integrate Oral Health and Medicine.
