Multidisciplinary Treatment Planning in the Digital Era
Description
This short seminar will briefly present the workflow and treatment plan for dento-alveolar reconstruction. There will be an example of how to plan and treat a challenging case which needs resective and regenerative surgeries. Moreover, the multidisciplinary approaches with other dental specialities will also be shown.

- To have a general idea of the workflow for extensive dento-alveolar rehabilitation
- To understand the classification and factors that involved in full mouth reconstruction
- To learn how to treatment plan a case digitally
- To know how oral surgery can facilitate with the treatment
Speakers
Dr. Ruei-Hua Wang, Periodontal-Prosthesis, was born and raised in Taichung, Taiwan. He graduated from in National Taiwan University School of Dentistry in Taiwan in 2013 with a doctoral of dental science degree then is currently last year in his postdoctoral periodontal prosthesis certificated program at Penn Dental Medicine.

Description
Recession is one of the most Mucogingival deformities around the teeth. It can be caused by different etiological factors such as trumatic tooth brushing, high frenum attachment and improper restorative procedure. Nowadays different treatment modalities and techniques were discussed in the literature. This presentation will focus on how to classify gingival recession and how to treat each case differently.

- Learn about Mucogingival deformities based on the new classification.
- Understand gingival recession, different classifications, causes, different treatments, and prevention.
- Understand difference between FGG and CTG
- Brief review of Mucogingival literature
Speaker
Dr. Omar Mohammed, obtained his undergraduates education at Virginia Commonwealth University. After finishing his undergraduate studies, he joined VCU/MCV for pursuing his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and graduated in 2015.
Dr. Alkanderi continued AEGD through the Ministry of Health in his native Kuwait which he joined as a practicing general dentist from 2016-2017.
Dr. Alkanderi is currently a postgraduate resident at the University of Pennsylvania in the Periodontology department, and he is currently focusing on his Master’s research studies related to implant dentistry.
Management of Hard and Soft Tissue Defects Around Implants
Description
In implant dentistry, we need to have ideal alveolar bone height and width as well as adequate soft tissue parameters to achieve a favorable clinical outcome. However, most of our patients present with less than optimal conditions before implant placement due to different etiological factors. Literature shows various techniques and different materials to overcome these situations. This presentation will focus mainly on managing mild-moderate soft and hard tissue deficiencies simultaneously with implant placement.

- Understand how to deal with each case differently.
- Learn the rationale of utilizing different soft tissue augmentation techniques around dental implants
- Comprehend a successful bone augmentation technique with simultaneous implant placement
Speaker
Dr. Abdulaziz Alblaihess, received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in 2014. After that, he completed a one-year internship in general dentistry.
In 2015, Dr. Alblaihess worked as a Teaching Assistant in Periodontics and Community Dentistry Department, King Saud University.
In 2017, Dr. Alblaihess joined the Postdoctoral Program in Periodontics at University of Pennsylvania.
Currently, he’s a senior resident at the periodontics department and is pursuing a Master of Science in Oral Biology. His research interest is understanding the role of (MRGPRX2), G protein-coupled receptor in Mast Cells.
