Course Description

Periodontal Prosthesis was founded in the 1950’s by Dr. Morton Amsterdam as a discipline to save dentitions mutilated by disease. It was a time when there was no implant option so concepts, priniciples, and techniques were necessary to save teeth.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of the lecture, one should be able to identify concepts, principle, and techniques of Periodontal Prosthesis and relate that to Contemporary Dentistry.

Speaker

Dr. Howard Fraiman is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Periodontics at Penn Dental Medicine, where he also serves as the Director of the Postdoctoral Periodontal Prosthesis Program. He received his D.M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine, in 1991, where he also went on to complete his residency in Periodontics in 1993 and in Periodontal Prosthesis in 1994.
