Simplifying Grafting Procedures Through the Use of the B.A.B.E (BiologicallyActivated Bone Enhancement) Graft Complex

Course Description

Guided bone regeneration has always been a challenging treatment modality especially when it comes to vertical augmentation. The purpose of this presentation is to introduce the clinical benefits of autologous platelet concentrates using concentrated growth factors (CGF) for bone grafting procedures to enhance healing and maturation. CGF is another modified form of platelet rich fibrin (PRF) that has proven to enhance both hard and soft tissue healing and maturation. This presentation will examine how both horizontal and vertical bone grafting procedures benefit from the incorporation of CGF. The various bone grafting procedures include socket preservation, ridge augmentation, as well as sinus augmentation procedures. We will introduce and describe the use of the “BABE Graft” and CGF/PRF membranes and how it simplifies our grafting procedures and making it easy, predictable and effective.

• Understand how to prepare the BABE graft
• Understand how to simplify different grafting procedures keeping with minimally invasive techniques using the BABE graft and CGF/PRF membranes.

Speaker

Dr. Jason Kim completed his Periodontal training and received a Master’s certificate from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, Dept. of Periodontics. He is Clinical Assistant Professor in the Dept. of PG Periodontics at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. He is also Clinical Assistant Professor at NYU College of Dentistry, CDE Implantology Program. Dr. Kim was also appointed to Dean’s Faculty at University of Maryland School of Dentistry. He is a Diplomate with the American Board of Oral Implantology, a Fellow with the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and also a Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He served on the Board of Trustees with the AAID, and was also Past President for the Northeast District of the AAID. He is Co-Founder and Co-Director of Manhattan Dental Implant Seminars and is in Private practice in Flushing, NY. Dr. Kim lectures and nationally and internationally in the field of dental implants, bone regeneration, biologics, guided surgery, among others.
