Description

This short seminar will explore the current clinical and research status of ceramic implants. Further, it will compare and clinical performance of ceramic implants from the bone to implant level to the clinical final outcome. Several comparisons with the traditional titanium alloy-made implants will be presented. A conclusion of “where are we?” related to theses implants will be discussed.

Speaker

Ricardo Gapski, DDS, MS graduated with his DDS from the Federal University of Parana State, Brazil (1997). He specialized in Periodontics and earned a Master degree in Periodontics from the University of Michigan (2003). Dr. Gapski went on to earn a Doctoral degree in dental surgery from Missouri University (2005) and also earned a PhD in Implantology from SLM Campinas in São Paulo, Brazil (2016). He is a Diplomate for the American Academy of Periodontology and founder of the Ricardo Gapski Institute in Brazil.
