The Lecture focuses on building bridge to peace through academic relationship between two Dental Schools in area of political conflict; Shows the enthusiastic support of School of Dental Medicine Hadassah to School of Dental Medicine at Al-Quds University. Which leads to common understanding and trust, although develops to serve groups in the community need close attention like individuals with disabilities.

Palestinian born in East Jerusalem – in 1963. Graduated from Collège De Frères Secondary School in Bethlehem in 1981. Received the DDS Degree in 1987 from Cluj Napoca, and the Ph.D. in 2002 from Carol Davila Bucharest, Romania. Started the professional life in the private sector, which provides the opportunity to feel the needs of the patients and increased the awareness of the need for well-trained and well-educated dentists.
This experience extends to the horizon and led to academia. It was an excellent opportunity to work on investing minds and growing souls committed to the welfare of the patients, by developing the professional competence through continuing education to provide a high quality of treatment plan to meet the patients’ desires, in advanced minimal invasive dentistry.
Using implants as a replacement to maintain fixed prosthesis possibilities, as well to solve the factors which form obstacles to implement the treatment plan of fixed prosthesis like bone atrophy, through using Polymer material PDLLA for bone regeneration. Realized the importance of laser therapy in Dentistry; therefore, worked on developing the knowledge and skills in the use of laser in dentistry, with the aim of maintenance, repair, and regeneration of the oral cavity tissues.
Furthermore, the well-being of humankind is the most important goal, and all people individually and collectively must work together side by side to achieve the goal of the welfare of humanity to maintain good health, education as well justice to reach the high standard of quality of life. This belief has drawn the map for the professional life and paved the way toward international scientific and educational cooperation in the dental field to provide opportunities for dental students as well as dentists for developing skills and experience to provide high-quality medical services.
Consequently, to the responsibilities of serving humankind has appointed in different academic and administrative positions in Al-Quds University, Jerusalem as Vice president for Finance and Administration; Vice president for health sciences; Vice President for Student Affairs and Student Services; Dean for the School of Dental Medicine.
Establishing Bridge to Peace through oral health as a result of the scientific and academic collaboration between both Dental Schools Hebrew University and Al-Quds University, and looking over to expand the activities to provide services to the individuals with disabilities, continues to function under the umbrella of the D. Walter Cohen Middle East Center for Continuing Dental Education.
