ABOUT THE LECTURE

The Division of Pediatric Dentistry is excited to announce the first Dr. Stanford A. Brown Memorial Lecture speaker on May 7th, 2019. This lecture series honors the late Dr. Stan Brown, an outstanding faculty member who taught in the Pediatric Division for over 50 years. Dr. Brown will always be remembered for inspiring both dental students and pediatric patients alike.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Dr. Wadenya completed her dental training at the Kenyatta National Hospital, Nairobi, Kenya in 1988; a Master’s in Oral Sciences at the State University of New York, in Buffalo, in 1993; a pediatric dentistry certificate program in Eastman Dental Center, Rochester, NY in 1995; and a DMD degree at Penn Dental Medicine in 1997. She taught in the Pediatric Division at Penn Dental Medicine and at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for over ten years. Dr. Wadenya has many publications focusing on topics such as dental materials as well as access to care for different populations. Additionally, she has published many children’s books on teeth and oral health. Currently, Dr. Wadenya works in private practice in Havertown, PA.
