Description: This presentation will provide an overview of a multidisciplinary department composed of oral and maxillofacial surgery, oral medicine and maxillofacial prosthodontics, their ongoing research efforts, collaborations and vision for addressing oral cancer. Speakers will discuss disparities in oral cancer incidence, survival and mortality; challenges and opportunities in oral cancer rehabilitation as well as prosthetic challenges in oral cancer survivors. The event will conclude with a patient perspective.
