Join the movement for the World Hunger Relief with the Penn Dental Cooking Club.

Hunger and malnutrition are the number one risk to health worldwide – greater than AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis combined. Among the key causes of hunger are natural disasters, conflict, poverty, poor agricultural infrastructure and over-exploitation of the environment.

FromHungerToHope.com will help significantly in bridging the gap between hunger and hope. For approximately $1 a day, World Food Program can provide a meal to four children through its global school feeding program.

Did you know that?
• $25 feeds a child in school for half the year
• $50 feeds one child in school for the entire academic year
• $70-100 per child provides supplementary food to a child under 2 years of age for 18 months
• $1,000 feeds 100 school children for one year
Volunteers:
We are looking for volunteers to cook food that we will sell on Wed, March 28th during lunch in the atrium.
Cooking Club will not reimburse you for the food you make but you will earn 2 hrs of COH volunteer credit.
Make sure whatever you prepare could be sampled because we will be selling one sample for $1 ticket. You can make whatever you want, just list the ingredients.
Please email Riddhi Patel at ridpatel@dental.upenn.edu if you are interested in volunteering or have any questions!!
