The Division of Restorative Dentistry is responsible for teaching all preclinical and clinical aspects of comprehensive dental care, fixed and removable prosthodontics, operative dentistry, biomaterials, and general dentistry. Led by some of the globally most renown leaders in the fields of restorative and prosthetic dentistry, the department is recognized not only for providing one of the best clinical programs in the world but also as an authority in up-to-date clinical and laboratory biomaterials research, focusing on esthetic dentistry, minimally invasive and adhesive dentistry, implant prosthodontics, novel materials, and modern CAD/CAM technologies. New learning technologies and didactic tools, such as online and blended learning, iBooks, gamification, haptics technologies, and virtual simulation are implemented to adapt to the needs and learning preferences of today’s students.

The one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program provides clinical training, lectures, and seminars to ensure that residents gain knowledge and skills to act as primary oral health care providers practicing within the scope of general dental care.
