Class of 2026 White Coat Ceremony

We look forward to welcoming you to campus and the study of dental medicine with the Class of 2026 White Coat Ceremony
to be held on Thursday, August 11.

This annual tradition for incoming students of Penn Dental Medicine to accept their white coats is symbolic of their commitment to the practice of dentistry and the profession’s inherent responsibilities. Family, friends, and faculty are invited to join the incoming class to celebrate the beginning of their dental education.

Doors open to guests, 12:30 PM
Ceremony begins, 1:00 PM

* Students should arrive at Annenberg no later than 12:15 PM *

At the conclusion of the ceremony a reception will be held at the Annenberg Center.

All students, faculty, staff, and guests must comply with the following requirements prior to arriving on campus as well as before entering this event:

1. Register for the event

2. Complete a PennOpen Pass
PennOpen Pass must be completed on Thursday, August 11 prior to arrival on campus. PennOpen Pass is a daily symptom tracker designed to reduce the risk of COVID-19 spreading within the Penn community. The screening will generate either a Green Pass required to enter University buildings, or a Red Pass which advises the individual to seek care from a health care provider.

3. Wear a Mask.
Masks are required to enter Penn Dental Medicine as well as to enter the Annenberg Center for all individuals 2 years of age and older regardless of vaccination status. Masks are required while seated in the theater for the duration of the White Coat Ceremony and may only be removed once outside.
