Join a vibrant interdisciplinary environment
Graduate and professional programs at Penn emphasize the integration of knowledge across boundaries and disciplines, with the University offering nearly 300 graduate degree and certificate programs throughout its 12 centrally located schools.
As a student in an advanced degree program at Penn Dental Medicine, you will be a part of a vibrant interdisciplinary environment. A stimulating intellectual and social community of students and scholars from across Penn form a strong graduate student network, while the campus also offers extensive resources for academic support and personal enrichment.
Penn Dental Medicine offers a variety of advanced degree programs for both college graduates and dentists. The Master of Oral Health Sciences (MOHS) degree is designed to prepare participants for dental school admission and/or in other health sciences related careers. The program includes two separate tracks — the MOHS for Pre-Dental Track Students and the MOHS for Non-U.S.-Trained Dentists. The Master of Science in Oral Biology (MSOB) is offered to dental graduates who are in Penn Dental Medicine clinical residency programs and integrates extensive research and evidence-based learning into dental graduate education. The Doctor of Science in Dentistry (DScD) degree prepares dental graduates for academic careers as clinician scientists. And coming soon is a new program — a Master of Advanced Dental Studies (MADS).
