Professional Biography

Dr. Ko is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Oral Medicine at Penn Dental Medicine, member of the Center for Innovation & Precision Dentistry, and Deputy Director for the Center for Clinical and Translational Research. He received his D.D.S from Columbia University in 2010 and is a Diplomate and Fellow of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology. Prior to joining Penn Dental Medicine in 2018, he was a Clinical Research Fellow at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City and served as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan, School of Dentistry. Dr. Ko’s research interests are centered on the advancement of oral health through translational research, interdisciplinary collaboration, and novel medical devices and technologies.
