Professional Biography

Dr. Ko is an Associate Professor of Clinical Oral Medicine at Penn Dental Medicine. He received his D.D.S from Columbia University in 2010, where he also completed his residency in Oral Pathology in 2013. He has been recognized for his excellence in teaching, receiving the Martin S. Greenberg Award in 2019. He is a Diplomate and Fellow of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology. Prior to joining Penn Dental Medicine in 2018, Dr. Ko served as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan, School of Dentistry. His research interests include head and neck sarcomas and non-pharmacologic approaches to chronic oral pain management.
