 
						Dr. Hector Sarmiento is a practicing periodontist and oral and maxillofacial surgeon in New York City. He began his academic journey at the University of Rochester, earning his DMD, and went on to complete his certificate in periodontics and a master’s degree in oral biology at the University of Pennsylvania in 2014.
Dr. Sarmiento currently serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Periodontics at Penn Dental Medicine. He is also a professor in the trauma and reconstructive unit at the Regional Hospital in Mexico and a board examiner for the American Board of Periodontology.
In addition to his clinical and academic roles, Dr. Sarmiento is a renowned global lecturer and has authored numerous scientific articles and textbooks. He resides in Greenwich, Connecticut, with his wife and three children.
