Professional Biography

Dr. Joanie Jean is a board-eligible pediatric dentist and Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatric Dentistry in the Department of Restorative Dentistry at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. After receiving her DMD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Jean received her Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Connecticut/Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, where she received advanced training in comprehensive care for children. Before joining the Penn Dental Family Practice, she worked in private practice in New Jersey. Dr. Jean lives in Philadelphia with her husband and cat. In her free time, Dr. Jean loves tinkering with computers, learning new languages, and traveling with her family.
