Dr. Mark Mintline is a board-certified oral pathologist and assistant professor of pathology, at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Mintline serves as an attending oral pathologist at Penn Medicine.
Previously, Dr. Mintline was an associate professor at Western University of Health Sciences (WesternU). At WesternU, he was the founding laboratory director of WesternU Health Oral Pathology Laboratory and a co-coordinator of the Advanced Oral Diagnosis Workgroup.
His academic and research interests include health equity, interprofessional care, and lesions of the oral cavity. Dr. Mintline is a recipient of the International Pemphigus and Pemphigoid Foundation Doctor of the Year Award and the California Dental Association Dr. Arthur A. Dugoni Award for his contributions to clinical care, dental education, and increasing access to care through the Biopsies Save Lives and Oral Biopsies Lives programs.
Dr. Mintline received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S) degree from the UCLA School of Dentistry and completed his residency in oral and maxillofacial pathology at the University of Florida College of Dentistry. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and a fellow of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology.
