Dr. Frare is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Preventive & Restorative Sciences. Prior to joining Penn Dental Medicine, he served as clinical educator in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology, Radiology and Medicine, at the New York University College of Dentistry (NYU) since 2016. His responsibilities there included didactic and patient care in The Oral Health Center for People with Disabilities, and was the Course Director for the Elective Program in Special Patient Care. His other faculty appointments have included Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine (2014-2015), Adjunct Clinical Instructor in Community Oral Health and Pediatrics at Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry (2001-2014) as well as Clinical Instructor in Restorative Dentistry at Temple (2002-2003). He is a Fellow of The American College of Dentists and The New York Academy of Medicine, and a member of The New Jersey Medical Reserve Corps (NJMRC). He is an active member of the American Dental Association, Special Care Dentistry Association, and the American Academy of Developmental Medicine & Dentistry.
