Research in Dr. Su’s laboratory focuses on elucidating the molecular mechanisms that regulate gene expression in a cell type–, brain region–, tissue-, and species-specific manner under both physiological and pathological conditions. Her lab integrates bulk and single-nucleus RNA sequencing, ATAC-seq, ChIP-seq, and emerging epitranscriptomic profiling approaches to dissect gene regulatory programs across diverse biological contexts. Dr. Su has extensive expertise in computational and statistical modeling of high-dimensional genomic data, including pseudocell-based modeling, cross-group validation strategies, and analyses of age-associated gene expression dynamics across cell types. Her work bridges experimental neuroscience and quantitative genomics, with the goal of uncovering fundamental regulatory principles that govern brain plasticity, resilience, and vulnerability to disease.
