Penn Dental Medicine Appoints Dr. Todd Singer Assistant Dean for Intramural and Extramural Affairs
Philadelphia – Penn Dental Medicine welcomes Dr. Todd Singer to the School as Assistant Dean for Intramural and Extramural Affairs. His appointment was effective May 6, and he will officially begin full-time later in the year.
In this new position, Dr. Singer will direct operations for the Penn Dental Family Practice, the two multispecialty, community dental practices of Penn Dental Medicine. He will also manage other strategic initiatives for the school.
“Clinical excellence, teaching, and mentoring are all passions for Dr. Singer, making him an extraordinary fit for the Family Practice and the Penn Dental Medicine community overall,” says Penn Dental Medicine’s Morton Amsterdam Dean Mark Wolff. “His knowledge of multi-site, multidiscipline dental practices will help chart a new course of growth and organizational accomplishment.”
Dr. Singer brings a depth of clinical and management experience to this role. Since 2002, he has been President and Chief Clinical Officer for a 14-location multispecialty dental practice in New Jersey, which he co-founded. Throughout his dental career with various multispecialty dental practices, Dr. Singer’s clinical expertise has focused on advanced dental implant rehabilitation. Since 2015, he also has been a clinical instructor in the Department of Periodontics at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, and is a frequent lecturer on advanced periodontal-prosthetic treatment planning, surgical and prosthetic techniques, and practice management.
Dr. Singer earned his D.D.S. with honors in 1997 from Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine and completed postgraduate specialty training in Periodontics at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in 1999.
While taking on this leadership post, Dr. Singer will continue to see patients as well, with plans to practice one day a week within the Penn Dental Family Practice.
