Tuition Fee: Full-time attendance at Penn Dental Medicine.

General Fee: Includes access to University libraries, recreational facilities, and other University services not directly associated with specific courses.

Technology Fee: Established to advance and improve computer technology at Penn Dental Medicine.

Room and Board: Estimate which reflects an average off-campus residence, 12-month basis.

Books and Supplies: Estimated cost for required textbooks and supplies.

Miscellaneous: Estimated costs for health insurance (single person coverage)** external loan fees, telephone service, personal entertainment, laundry, and other personal items.

Instrument Mgt. Service: Required instrumentation.

Apparel Fee: Apparel provided as required in all laboratory and clinical settings.

Disability Fee: Covers the cost of the annual insurance for the incoming 2014-15 incoming students.

*Additional costs directly related to attending our program may necessitate and increase in the educational budget. In order to be able to borrow additional funding for equipment required in the first year, the educational budget for 2014-2015 ($112,000) will be increased by $6,500. This will allow residents to borrow additional funding, if necessary.

**The health insurance is based on single person coverage at the University of Pennsylvania. If you need family coverage, the fee will be higher and you may need to request a budget increase.
