4TH ANNUAL CiPD SYMPOSIUM
The Center for Innovation & Precision Dentistry (CiPD) Annual Symposium was held on May 29, 2025, at Penn Dental Medicine on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania. It was an all-day event.
The symposium featured a fireside chat with Drew Weissman (Nobel Laureate), along with plenaries Joseph DeSimone (Stanford School of Medicine) and Edward Zuckerberg (Painless Social Media, CEO). Together, they explored how scientific advancements, platform technologies, and entrepreneurship drive more effective, equitable oral healthcare innovations.
The program showcased the latest research by CiPD faculty and trainees on emerging applications – from craniofacial and tissue regeneration to oral microbiomes – using advanced materials, nano/biotechnology, mRNA, AI and robotics. We welcomed all attendees to engage with our panel of experts on the challenges and opportunities for innovation in oral and craniofacial health care.
The symposium was an in-person event.
