What is the Penn Dental Medicine Alumni Society?
The Penn Dental Medicine Society is comprised of all Penn Dental Medicine alumni who have successfully completed one or more of the accredited programs of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine – this includes those who graduated with a D.D.S. or D.M.D, received a Certificate of Proficiency in Dental Hygiene, and/or a Certification from any one of the School’s Departments of Advanced Education.
How is the Alumni Society governed?
The administrative body of the Penn Dental Medicine Alumni Society is the Alumni Society Executive Committee. Both the Penn Dental Medicine Alumni Society and the Executive Committee are governed by the By-laws, which are maintained by the Executive Committee. Executive Committee is comprised of two leadership members (President and Vice President) as well as 30 members-at-large.
The Executive Committee is aided by a dedicated staff member, who attends all board meetings and a number of committee meetings, in addition to providing data, resources and serving as a liaison to Penn Dental Medicine administrators.
