Abstract Submission Criteria
Focus: Research Day highlights clinical, translational, basic science, and population health research.
Types of Projects: Research Day typically features projects involving clinical, human, animal, and in vitro studies
Scope: Research Day has a broader scientific research scope, covering a wide range of research areas
Intended Outcomes: Abstracts for Research Day typically involve projects that are intended for publication in journals such as Journal of Dental Research, Journal of Clinical Periodontology, etc.

General Rules and Guidelines
- The online submission site must be used for abstract submission.
- Individuals may co-author different abstracts but can only present one abstract.
- Abstracts cannot be submitted if the research represented by the abstract will be published (online or in print) and/or presented at any other national or international meeting (excluding state, regional or institutional meetings) prior to April 16, 2025.
- If selected for presentation, presenters must disclose any conflict of interest.
- If selected for presentation, presenters must ensure that the images contained in your presentation follow HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practice and Penn Dental Medicine’s Patient Imaging Management Policy.
