Penn Dental Medicine is pleased to present the 6th Penn Periodontal Conference 2023. The scientific program, which is divided into oral and poster presentations, will provide dental researchers from around the world with the opportunity to present their latest research on any topic pertaining to clinical, translational, and basic sciences in periodontology. We invite you to submit an abstract for consideration for presentation. All submissions will be peer reviewed and judged by their scientific and/or clinical value.

Abstract Submission Site Opens: January 15, 2023
Abstract Submission Deadline: June 9, 2023
Abstract Notifications Emailed to Presenters: June 23, 2023
Abstract Presenter Pre-registration Deadline: June 30, 2023

* Failure to pre-register for the meeting by the presenter pre-registration deadline will result in abstract withdrawal.

GENERAL RULES AND GUIDELINES

  1. Materials submitted must be original research that have not been published or presented elsewhere, and written in English.
  2. Research must comply with the guiding principles for experimental procedures in the Declaration of Helsinki of the World Medical Association, if applicable; and have been approved by an Institutional Review Board or equivalent, if applicable.
  3. Individuals may co-authors different abstracts but may present only one abstract.
  4. Presenters must disclose any conflict of interest in the appropriate field during submission.
  5. Online submission site must be used for abstract submission.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

Scientific abstracts on all aspects of periodontology will be considered. All submissions will be peer-reviewed and considered for poster presentation by the moderators of your session. Authors of selected abstracts will be given the opportunity to present their research in front of the audience (oral presentation).

Title: Abstracts titles are limited to 10 words. First letter of each word should be capitalized unless there is a preposition. Italicize as appropriate.

Authors: Authors names should be all capitalized and entered as follows: last name, first and middle initials. Affiliations must be listed. List the presenting author’s information under Contact Information.

Text: Abstracts should be no longer than 300 words. Do not include title, authors, or references in the text. Graphics are not allowed. Sponsor, funding agency and grant number should be included at the end of the text. Text should be divided in: Objectives, Materials and Methods, Results, Conclusions, Clinical Significance.
