The University has officially launched a new capital campaign. As part of it, The Power of Penn Dental Medicine campaign will raise funds for scholarships, research, and local and global outreach.
The new 55-chair clinic is a general restorative teaching clinic for DMD students that will increase the School’s capacity to see more patients.
The School has launched a Million Dollar Challenge to increase scholarship resources for underrepresented minority and disadvantaged students, and to strengthen pipeline programs designed to build diversity.
The fall meeting of the Board took place at the Penn Wharton China Center, Beijing. A forum was also held in conjunction with the meeting on the topic of oral care and dentistry in China.
Dr. Anne Koch (D’77, GD’93) and Dr. Anne Klamar have been appointed to the Penn Dental Medicine Board of Overseers.
Penn Dental Medicine offers 8 dual-degree programs with Penn’s other schools; there are presently 20 DMD students pursuing dual degrees.
As part of the growth in alumni relations and development, Liz Ketterlinus joins the School in the new post of Senior Associate Dean of Development & Alumni Relations.
