Fonseca Courtyard, Penn Dental Medicine | In recognition of the distinction and achievement of Penn Dental Medicine alumni celebrating their 50th reunion or more, the School invites alumni from the dental classes of 1975 and earlier as well as dental hygiene alumni to the annual Luminary Society Luncheon. Beyond the Oral Cavity: Microbiome as a bridge between Oral and Systemic Health

Join us for this year’s Samuel I. and Hilda B. Shames Lecture to hear about the exciting work of Dr. Modupe (‘Dupe) Coker, Associate Professor in the Department of Basic and Translational Science, Assistant Dean, and Director of the Center for Clinical and Translational Research at Penn Dental Medicine. Through her interdisciplinary research and extensive collaborations, Dr. Coker will share how her work contributes to uncovering how oral health intersects with systemic disease—especially the impact of HIV and immune-mediated disruptions of the microbial communities on health outcomes.

Schattner Atrium | Grab your class flag before heading down to the parade. We will depart the School at 11:30 AM to line up for the University’s Alumni Parade on Locust Walk. You are invited to walk with us from the School or meet us on Locust Walk in the designated Professional School line-up area.
12:00 – 12:30 PM Alumni Parade
Locust Walk | Display your Penn pride by marching with Dean Mark Wolff and members of the Penn Dental Alumni Society and Dean’s Council. The parade will conclude at the Penn Dental Medicine picnic tent on Hill Square.Please note we will depart the School at 11:30 AM to line up for the Parade on Locust Walk. You are invited to walk with us from the School or meet us on Locust Walk in the designated Professional School line-up area.
12:30 – 3:30 PM Penn Dental Medicine Alumni Picnic
Lauder College House, 3335 Woodland Walk | Join fellow Dental alumni and their families fora picnic lunch with Dean Mark Wolff as well as members of the Penn Dental Alumni Society
and Dean’s Council; and Penn Dental student
ambassadors. This is a great opportunity for the entire family. Vegetarian and Kosher meals will be available.

Advances in Clinical Care & Education Day (ACCE)
