Find answers to common questions as you make your plans to attend Penn Dental Medicine Alumni Weekend 2023, May 12-13.
A complete list of events/programming sponsored by Penn Dental Medicine will be available on the About the Weekend section (coming soon!) to help you plan your trip. Typical events and programs at the School begin early Friday afternoon and run through Saturday evening. We encourage classes to organize specific class events on Saturday evening though there are instances when classes decide to organize on Friday evening instead.
University programming is available at www.alumni.upenn.edu/alumniweekend. Please note there may be separate registration or additional fees for events not sponsored by Penn Dental Medicine.
To help plan your visit to Philadelphia, we have included information in the Hotel & Travel Plan section.
There are no dress requirements for Friday and Saturday events. If you are participating in the parade or picnic on Saturday, please dress comfortably for the parade down Locust Walk and for the outdoor picnic on College Green.
Yes, advanced registration is required. Registration will go live after the new year.
Registration materials will be available in the atrium of the Robert Schattner Center from 11:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Friday and from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
Those who have pre-registered for the Penn Dental Alumni Weekend should make the Registration Table in the School’s atrium their first stop on campus. There you will pick up your event pass, information about the weekend, and Penn Dental Medicine Alumni give-a-way (1 per adult registered). If you have registered for or are interested in attending programs offered by Penn’s undergraduate Alumni Weekend program, registration may be required in advance. Please review and register at www.alumni.upenn.edu/alumniweekend.
To change or cancel your registration, please call the Office of Institutional Advancement at 215-898-8951. There will be no refunds for cancellations after Friday, May 5.
**Please note: cancellations for accommodations must be made directly with the hotel.

Alumni Relations has a limited shuttle option with pickup and drop off times at two locations: Philadelphia Marriott Downtown (1201 Market Street) and Sonesta Hotel (1800 Market Street).
This courtesy timed shuttle service is provided for you at NO COST, however, due to limited space, you will be accommodated on a first come first serve basis. Departure times will be listed on a sign in the main lobby of the hotel and are also available on the general Alumni Weekend site Frequently Asked Questions.
Visitor parking is available in lots throughout campus. The nearest lot to the School is Garage 40 at 40th and Walnut Streets (entrance on Walnut). In and out privileges are not available. Hourly parking rates apply.

Please be sensitive to your classmates and use your best judgement if you plan to bring children to your reunion events. Unless otherwise noted in the program, parents are asked not to bring children to adult events. The Saturday Parade and Alumni Picnic, as well as all panels and tours are family-friendly events.
Yes, there are a variety of fun activities for children throughout the weekend as well as arts, crafts, and entertainment specifically at Penn’s Fun Zone locations on Saturday from 12:30 to 3:30 PM.
We can accommodate almost any dietary need or restriction. Kosher meals or vegetarian options can be accommodated by notifying us at least one week prior to Alumni Weekend. Please include your specific restrictions or requests when registering or contact the Office of Institutional Advancement at 215-898-8951 or megcon@upenn.edu.
