Penn Dental Medicine Clinics to Offer Free Exams at Patient Admissions Fair on March 11

Philadelphia — Penn Dental Medicine will be offering free screenings and clinical examinations to the community as it hosts its third New Patient Admissions Fair on Friday, March 11.

This special event is open to all individuals interested in becoming a patient within the School’s teaching clinics. New patients will receive an initial evaluation, and, upon eligibility, the evaluation will be followed by a comprehensive oral examination, including radiographs, as needed. The screening and clinical examination will be performed free of charge and the radiographic examination will be completed at a discounted $50 fee. New patients will also receive a complimentary oral hygiene goodie bag.

The Admissions Fair will run between 8:45 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on March 11 and appointments can be made by calling 215-898-8965; they will be available until the schedule is filled to capacity. While appointments are recommended, walk-ins are welcome upon availability. Penn Dental Medicine is located at 240 S. 40th Street (on 40th between Locust and Spruce streets).

“We value the vital role our patients play in our educational mission, and we are pleased to offer this day of free evaluations and examinations to members of the community interested in becoming a patient in our student clinics. Through our educational mission we are committed to providing excellent patient care with the highest quality,” says Dr. Najeed Saleh, Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs at Penn Dental Medicine.

Care within the Penn Dental Medicine teaching clinics is provided by students in the School’s DMD and specialty programs under close supervision by faculty.
