Course Description
The current COVID-19 crisis has played a major impact on healthcare and society around the world.The OMFS COVID-19 Response Conference is a forum for oral and maxillofacial surgeons to come together and learn from each other on how COVID-19 has impacted their daily lives.
Learning Objectives
1. Develop an overall understanding of the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on OMFS.
2. Disseminate strategies to protect OMFS staff, residents and faculty during the COVID-19 pandemic
3. Understand how the COVID-19 pandemic has altered the management of the following area of OMFS:
- Head and Neck Trauma
- Dentoalveolar Surgery
- Pathology/Head and Neck Cancer
- Craniofacial Surgery
- Cosmetic Surgery
- Trigeminal Nerve Surgery
4. Recognize the impact an OMFS can make on a health system during COVID-19
5. Examine the impact of COVID-19 on OMFS Resident Education
6. Understand AAOMS initiatives to support OMFS
