Description

The purpose of the conference is to highlight the foreseeable challenges and help guide and support the OMFS resident, as well as, other graduate dental resident post-COVID-19 nationwide shutdown.

Learning Objectives

  • Develop an overall understanding of the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on OMS residency programs.
  • Disseminate strategies to protect OMS residents as we resume practice post the COVID-19 shutdown.
  • Share strategies for obtaining PPE.
  • Ensure residents are aware of maintenance of wellness during a stressful crisis.
  • Provide guidance and resources to help improve patient safety and reduce risk.
  • Provide guidance on planning for long-term financial security amid the uncertainty of COVID-19.
  • Provide additional online education and training resources for the resident.
  • Understanding the OMS job market and what recruitment will look like after the shutdown.
